STATE AID

The legislature shall appropriate funds to supply free school books and other materials of instruction prescribed by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) to the children of Louisiana at the elementary and secondary level.

The legislature shall appropriate funds sufficient to insure a minimum foundation program of education in all public and elementary and secondary schools.
