VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTIONS

Buses shall be inspected semi-annually according to Federal Standard 17 and State Department Bulletin 1191.  All buses must be inspected and approved by the State Police before the first day of school.  The second inspection shall be by an approved Motor Vehicle Inspection Station during December and January of each school year.

Lincoln Parish school buses shall be regularly and systematically inspected in accordance with a preventive maintenance program.  Bus operators are required to inspect their buses before each trip.
